Memory Studies

After completing the course, you will be able to:

• Identify different memory disorders and their key characteristics.
• Understand the importance of maintaining brain health in the prevention of memory disorders.
• Identify the care pathway for a person with a memory disorder, as well as assessment methods, treatment options and rehabilitation approaches.
• Understand the impact of memory disorders on functional ability and daily life.

This course has been produced as part of the national GEROS project in Finland. The project involves Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Lapland University of Applied Sciences, South Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, all of which are members of the Network for Ageing Competence.
