In Opin.fi, you will find the open studies of 37 Finnish higher education institutions.

You will find thousands of open study options provided by different universities and universities of applied sciences in Finnish, Swedish and English, both in contact and distance education, in a single service. You can search for, compare and select studies that are just right for you.

Who is the service for?

Opin.fi is for everyone who wants to learn something new. For example, you can use it if you want to:

• develop your competence in working life

• change careers

• familiarise yourself with higher education studies before starting degree studies

• study at your own pace alongside work or other daily life

• complete an individual course or a broader study module

Open studies are suitable for everyone, which means that you do not need to have a background in higher education studies.

It is not always necessary to earn credits in order to learn. The service also offers a wide range of lighter ways to update your competence, including podcasts, publications and events.

Opin.fi is a joint service of the 37 universities and universities of applied sciences in Finland. Digivisio 2030 project is responsible for developing it together with the higher education institutions, and the service is operated by HigherEd Hub Finland.
