IOVE Age Expertise Network

IOVE offers the opportunity to study higher education courses related to ageing online. The studies provide up-to-date knowledge and practical skills for anyone working with older people or interested in working with them.

IOVE is a collaborative network of six universities of applied sciences, bringing together expertise in degree programmes in gerontology. The network’s course offering covers key phenomena of ageing and core competence areas in working with older people, such as gerontology, interaction, memory work, and knowledge of the service system. The study units are official courses of universities of applied sciences and award ECTS credits. The studies can be utilised, for example, in a Bachelor of Health Care (Gerontology) degree. The IOVE network includes Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.
