Ethics and Ethics Management

This is a Master’s level advanced course in the field of Administrative Sciences and requires prior knowledge about public administration as a science and practice, about the public sector, and about the organization and functioning of governmental institutions.

The emphasis in this course will be to clarify the concepts of ethics and ethics management, both from a theoretical and practical side. To this end, we will also discuss many cases and daily-life situation. Thus, after the course, students should be able to have a sound understanding of ethics policies. instruments and management and to apply this knowledge in daily life situations.

The course gives advanced skills the following common learning objectives of the Public Policy and Management major: ability to analyze and interpret public activities and their operational environment from the perspective of organizations and regions, and the ability to develop the operations of organizations, regions, and networks by considering their specific characteristics. Additionally, the students will develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking. In terms of sustainable development, the goal is to learn to develop effective, responsible, and transparent institutions at all levels, as well to promote public, public-private and civil society partnerships.
