Corporate Finance

Bachelor-level knowledge of accounting and finance.

By the end of the course students will achieve the following intended learning outcomes:

• Students will demonstrate solid knowledge of different topics in the area of corporate finance taking into consideration various aspects of the global economic environment.
• Students will solve comprehensive problems in various areas of corporate finance.
• Students will apply analytical methods to analyze a company’s capital budgeting questions, long term financial policy needs and apply the concept of present value to all major areas of finance.
• Students will be able to connect the concept of present value to all major areas of finance (for example: value, risk & return, payout policy, financial analysis).

The aim of the course is to strengthen theoretical understanding of the subject and enhance the development of decision making and analytical and critical thinking skills. Improved financial problem solving skills is the overall objective.

1. Brealey, R. – S. Myers – F. Allen: Principles of Corporate Finance. McGraw-Hill Inc., 10th or later edition.
2. Additional required readings (currently 3 additional articles).
3. Bloomberg.
