The aim of the course is to give the student a clear understanding of safe working when making oil paint using machines. After completing the course, the student is allowed to use the school machines independently for paint production.

Prioritization to the course unit:

1. Degree students who are studying the subject area and who can include the course in the minimum scope of their degree’s alternative studies (bachelor’s degree 20 cr) or elective studies (bachelor´s degree 97-98 cr, master’s degree 33 cr)
2. Exchange students in the subject area
3. Other students in the Degree Programme in Fine Arts who can include the course in the minimum scope of their alternative or elective studies as well as other exchange students in the Degree Programme in Fine Arts
4. Other bachelor’s and master’s students at the Academy of Fine Arts (Praxis and Bachelor’s Degree Programme in History and Theory of Contemporary Art) who can include the course in the minimum scope of their degree, other exchange students at the Academy of Fine Arts
5. Students who have been granted the continued right to study (those who have graduated from the Degree Programme in Fine Arts within two years)
6. Students who have applied for the course via various mobility studies (internal mobility within Uniarts Helsinki etc.)
7. Other students in order of registration

Open University:

1. Tell briefly why you want to apply for the course/courses and (motivation) and what you expect from the studies.
2. Tell briefly about your background: studies, hobbies or work experience you have related to the course themes (e.g. studies at art institutes).

You may also present a wish in which of the four groups you would like to participate (see the schedules of groups 1-4 in Study guide under "Groups"). We cannot however guarantee a place in a given group.
