This publication explains how general sustainability competences were translated into practical micro-credentials that support teachers in guiding their students through transformative learning. The outcome—the Sustainable Future Educator digital open badge constellation—provides a framework for teachers to simultaneously develop their professional practice and competences. In addition, it offers teacher educators and teacher education institutions a valuable tool for strengthening both initial teacher education and continuing professional development programs.
