Possible themes include

  • personal life, family and friends
  • studying, work and free time
  • home, housing, living in Finland
  • public services (e.g. shopping and library)
  • traveling
  • time, weather
  • The course will cover basic Finnish grammar and communication skills, including speaking, writing, speech comprehension and reading.
  • Grammatical themes covered include basic conjugation and declension, verb types, basic sentences, pronunciation.
  • The differences between spoken and written language are taken into account.
