Sustainable Financing

YET-033 / YMTA-303 Investment and Financial Planning, AGERE-009 Mathematics for economists III, AGERE-012 Mathematics for economists IV, courses in Theory of Sustainability and Sustainable Enterprenership. 

This course introduces financial aspects of sustainable development, SDGs incorporation, and ESG investment in general and focusing on the agriculture and food sectors specific.

On completion of the course students:

• have an overview of the sustainable financing definition, current trends and landscape.
• be familiar with the different sustainable financing tools, ESG investment strategies and their application in the agriculture and food sectors.
• be able to apply main valuation models in ESG investment analysis and measure an investment impact.
• be able to apply knowledge to prepare the necessary analyses, calculations and reports in the ESG investment decision-making process

1) 20 % of the grade based on lecture discussion and group work with literature.

2) 30 % of the grade based on activity in the class (case study and quizzes)

3) 20 % of the grade based on the calculation exercises

4) 30 % based on the exam
