The student becomes familiar with brain research methods and its key results related to learning, the student can think critically and knows the weaknesses of brain research, the student understands application possibilities of brain research in the field of learning, teaching and education, and studies his/her own learning and teaching in the light of these possibilities.

Completion methods

There are two options to take the course: as an intensive course by watching the lectures online and taking part in group tasks including group presentations, or as a full year online lecture and lecture diary course that includes individual tasks online

Activities and methods in support of learning

The student is active in studying his/her own learning in contrast to the learning content of brain research, learning diaries are an important part of the course, in group activities the students are able to build their learning on top of their previous skills and competencies

Target group

Compulsory to students in Master's programme in Changing Education.

The course is multidisciplinary and suitable for many types of students at several levels.
