Web Based Technologies

Programming or Introduction to programming, Databases and open interfaces - satisfactory skills, knowledge of CSS and HTML (e.g. Introduction to Web-user Interface Design and Development). Course Programming Theory is highly recommended, if programming skills obtained from basic programming course are not good.

You will learn to understand and know:

• The architecture of the Internet
• What is a protocol, and what are the most common Internet protocols and how they work
• How do web applications differ from desktop applications
• What is meant by application architecture and which are the essential parts of the application architecture of a web application
• What is a web service (e.g. REST) ​​and what are they suitable for
• Special issues in web application development, such as security issues
• The essential mechanism of authentication and the consequences of the lack of authentication
• What is the SCRUM project management method, and how is it applied in teamwork.

You will learn to do:

• A web front-end application with JavaScript using a modern application library or framework
• A web back-end application with a database interface
• Teamwork as a member of a SCRUM team

In addition, the course develops:

• Problem-solving and decision-making skills: designing functionality based on application requirements
• Analytical and critical thinking: examining security-related choices and making implementation decisions
• Communication skills: oral, written and presentation skills: The SCRUM project management method develops oral presentation skills
• Interaction skills: The SCRUM project management method develops teamwork skills and negotiation skills
