Interaction Design Fundamentals

The course introduces students to the fundamentals of interaction design, including usability, user experience, accessibility, and semiotic analysis, and covers key theories and methods for developing human–technology interaction in various socio-technical contexts. Students examine interaction design from the perspectives of sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, and responsible use of digital technologies, learning to assess the broader cultural and technological impacts of design solutions. The course spans contexts ranging from computers and mobile devices to IoT systems, artificial intelligence, robotics, and games, and consists of lectures, online analytical assignments, and individual and group work.
