The course delves into the legal sources of tax law and explores the structure of the tax system. During the course, students will gain an understanding of personal and corporate taxation, tax procedures, value added taxation, as well as inheritance and gift taxation. The course provides a solid foundation for working with fundamental tax law issues.

By the end of this course, students will have mastered the use of legal sources in tax law, be familiar with its general principles and key concepts, and be able to solve basic tax law problems. They will also understand the significance of tax regulation in economic decision-making and be capable of appealing tax decisions. Additionally, students will have a comprehensive knowledge of the Finnish tax system.
