The course explores technological advancements (digital twin, cloud services, artificial intelligence) as well as the significance and applicability of data processing and information systems in businesses and organizations (ERP, business intelligence, blockchain, IoT).

After completing the course, the student will be familiar with the basic terminology of information technology and information systems, understand the principles of operation of computers, software, and networks, and comprehend the significance of modern information technology and information systems that utilize its technical possibilities in society as well as in the operations of businesses and organizations. Upon completing the course, the student will be able to follow industry development trends and critically examine phenomena of the information society.
