Case Commentary in Business Law

The purpose of the case commentary is to develop the student's ability to identify economic law issues and critically evaluate the positions presented as solutions to these issues. The aim of the writing based on the case is also to develop the student's ability to justify their positions and present them in a structured manner. When writing, the student must identify the key legal sources needed to support their arguments. As the course progresses, the student learns to utilize this source material when weighing their positions. After completing the course, the student will be able to present well-founded economic law positions and write a coherent analysis.

The course supports the UN's Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. By developing students' abilities to identify and critically evaluate economic law issues, justify their positions, and use key legal sources, the course contributes to building strong and accountable institutions.
