Contrary to previous information, there is an Electronic exam (EXAM) on the course.
Please note! The exam cannot be taken online or on a personal computer. The exam booking must be made separately in the EXAM system, and the exam is taken in the University of Vaasa EXAM room or as an exam visit in another higher education institution’s EXAM room.

Description
Content and dates
The course contains 10 chapters:
• Introduction to Control and dynamic systems (1 week)
• Dynamic representation in Laplace and Time domains and Linear systems behavior (2 -3 weeks)
• Discrete Domain and Z-Transform (1 week)
• Controllability and observability (1 week)
• Stability (1 week)
• Classical Feedback control design (1 week)
• Modern State Vector Feedback control design (1 week)
• Observer design (1 week)
• Frequency Response Analysis and Loop Shaping (1 week)
• Linear quadratic regulators (1 week)
Teaching methods
Teaching Approach:
Hybrid (On-site + Off-Line) + Supervised and Un-Supervised Exercises.
There will also be workshops to assist the students to better learn tools and techniques necessary for the course (e.g., comprehensive introduction to MATLAB and Simulink).
