After completing the course, the student understands that decision-making under uncertainty can be analyzed in advance and to some extent controlled. The student can structure a decision situation into a decision matrix, solve it, and understand and model the significance of available/acquired additional information in the decision-making situation.

The course develops critical thinking, problem solving and written presentation skills.
