Introduces the student to the concepts, tasks and methods of external accounting. Provides information on the formation of financial statements, related valuation and accrual problems and their impact on the company's taxation. In addition, the aim is to understand the significance of profit distribution and taxation in different forms of entity from the owner's perspective. Introduces some special accounting issues and provides skills for an analytical approach when solving accounting challenges.

After completing the course, the student will know the terminology, tasks and methods of external accounting, be able to prepare financial statements and master the timing and valuation problems related to the preparation of financial statements. The student will understand the meaning of profit distribution and tax treatment in different forms of entities from the perspective of the owner and the entity itself. After completing the course, the student will be able to face and solve special accounting situations and, in addition, the course will provide the ability to interpret the meaning of real-world events that influenced the creation of financial statements as a background to the numbers.
