Public Economic Law

Recommended: The course AYHTK1300 Legal Framework for Public Action (Julkisen toiminnan oikeudelliset erityispiirteet), 6 ECTS

The student understands the basic structure of public finance, the concept of performance management, masters the legal principles related to public procurement, and knows when supporting business activities is permissible under EU state aid rules. The course introduces participants to the requirements for the efficient and lawful use of public funds.

The course strengthens the following common competence goals of the major in Public Law: the ability to evaluate public activities from a legal perspective, the ability to solve legal interpretation issues encountered in working life, and the ability to identify relevant legal sources. Additionally, the student develops problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Regarding sustainable development, the goal is to learn to develop effective, responsible, and transparent institutions at all levels.
