The first exam is held in class. Retake exams are administered via the electronic EXAM system. The exam booking must be made separately in the EXAM system, and the exam is taken in the University of Vaasa EXAM room or as an exam visit in another higher education institution's EXAM room.

Description
Learner's time use and workload
Total workload approximately 135 hours (5 ECTS):
Lectures and discussions: 24 h
Reading and online platform participation: 40 h
Group work and presentations: 40 h
Individual study and exam preparation: 31 h
Teaching methods
The course is taught as a combination of on-campus sessions and scheduled online (Zoom) sessions. Teaching methods include:
- Professor lectures
- Student-led article presentations
- Social annotation and discussion of academic articles on an online reading platform
- A group investigation project
- A handwritten in-class final exam on the last day of teaching
Assessment:
- Participation 20 % (online platform annotations 12 % + in-class attendance and engagement 8 %)
- Final exam 30 %
- Group work 50 % (article presentation 10 % + group investigation project 40 %)
