Description

Content and dates

In the first part of the course, "Welcome to the Course", you will familiarise yourself with the method of completing the course and consider your own suitability for the social sector.

In the Social Work section, you will learn about eight social work fields through videos. In the Studying at Xamk section, you will get information about studying at Xamk on different campuses. In the last section "Communal social work", you can promote a sense of community among the other participants of the course and leave a photo, video or text greeting.

Learner's time use and workload

1 ECTS credits equals 27 hours of work by the student.
In a 2-credit course, the total maximum workload is approximately 54 hours.

Teaching methods

The course is carried out entirely by way of unscheduled online study.

Studies are carried out on the Learn platform.

The assessed assignments are completed individually.
