Beginners’ Finnish 1

Prior skills in the Finnish language are not a requirement, but attending the course requires English skills enabling academic studies, some IT skills and good independent study skills.

After the completion of the course,

• you are able to communicate in Finnish in some basic everyday situations
• you can use simple phrases, express statements and ask questions and you know basic vocabulary
• you are familiar with some key features of the Finnish grammar
• you can pronounce and write simple phrases Finnish
• you can apply your skills in practice
• you are able to independently expand your vocabulary resources and improve your Finnish skills using different sources.
