Practical Finnish for Russian speakers

The course is suitable for students with some prior experience (CERF level A1.1) with Finnish language. Finnish studies starting from CEFR level A1.2. A recommended course before this: "VV00DW05 Finnish for Russian Speakers" (2 cr) by South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.

After the completion of the course,

• you are able to communicate in Finnish in various basic everyday situations
• you can use appropriate phrases and you able to expand basic vocabulary
• you are familiar with the key features of the Finnish grammar
• you can apply your skills in practice, both orally and in writing
• you are able to independently expand your vocabulary resources and improve your Finnish skills using different sources.
  Content
• simple communication, conversations and writing tasks related to e.g. holiday activities, hobbies, service encounters (in a shop, bank, theatre etc.)
• grammatical themes related to the communicative content of the course
