After the course, the student will be able to:
• recognize its own role and act as a responsible group member
• describe medical care as a part of the Finnish healthcare system
• identifies the role of pharmacists in promoting the correct use of medicines
• describe lifecycle of drug
• define terms related to patient and medication safety
• name and describe key electronic databases in Terveysportti
• describe how medicines differ from other products sold in the pharmacy

The course develops the following generic skills: interaction and communication, critical thinking, ethics, and sustainability and responsibility.
