Karelia and Karelianness in the 21st century

After completing the course, the student will be able to

• identify multidisciplinary perspectives on contemporary Karelian culture
• perceive different interpretations of Karelia, Karelian culture and being karelian

The course develops the following working life skills: knowledge of Karelian culture as an expert, which can be widely used in the cultural sector and in the revitalisation of Karelian language and culture; mastering of large complexes and summarising the read content into a text or other output; (in mode 2) independent information retrieval using both traditional and digital methods

Generic competences: internationality, sustainability and responsibility, critical thinking, identification and development of expertise
