The student will

• know the theory, legislation and practice of environmental impact assessment (EIA) and social impact assessment (SIA)
• identify the relationships between diverse assessment and decision-making procedures
• learn to apply the knowledge on EIA legislation and theory in a case study

This course unit develops the following generic traits:

Registration in Peppi, maximum 50 students. Priority given to degree students (in the law school) and international students for whom the course is compulsory. The rest will be admitted based on the order of registration.

Language of tuition is English (excluding one lecture in Finnish).
