Content and dates

CONTENT:

  • Key concepts and principles of artificial intelligence
  • Examples of AI-powered solutions
  • Challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence
  • AI in the future of working life
  • Student reports and presentations on selected topics

SCHEDULING:

  • The course can be completed at your own pace starting from February 1.
  • Assignments available: February 1 – May 31.

Learner's time use and workload

Learning Assignments:

  • Selecting a topic and familiarizing with it
  • Writing and presenting a preliminary report
  • Writing the final report
  • Giving a video presentation based on the report
  • Self-assessment
  • Peer review of other students’ reports and presentations

Workload:

  • Watching videos: 5 - 10 h
  • Reading materials: 20 - 30 h
  • Writing the report on the chosen topic: 50 - 60 h
  • Preparing and recording the video presentation: 10 - 20 h
  • Peer review of other students’ work: 10 - 20 h

TOTAL: approximately 130 hours

Teaching methods

Recorded lectures and videos:
The lectures and videos provide students with an overall understanding of the main themes of the course and guide deeper learning. They cover the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning, the use of AI in different professional fields, and the principles of responsible and sustainable AI.

Independent study:
The student explores the topics through learning materials, literature, videos, and articles.

Discussions and peer learning:
Students carry out peer assessments of each other’s work within the learning environment and engage in discussions on the course forum, sharing their perspectives on topics related to the course..

Reflection and application:
The student reflects on the impact of AI on their own work and professional field and evaluates the ethical and societal dimensions of AI during course sessions and assignments.
