The Finnish Education and Schooling System

After completion of the course the student

• knows the structure and the central principles of Finnish education system on all levels of education from early childhood education and care to higher education and civic education;

• Understands the role of global education policies in national and local policymaking and practice;

• recognises the central actors, actor groups, and the steering mechanisms and powers at play in the education system;

• has an understanding of the legislation that is central for her/his own degree program

• can analyse the topical questions related to education policies
