follow the principles of infection control in their work
understand the role of anatomy and physiology as well as technology in nursing
understand and apply key nursing interventions and diagnostic tests
know the principles of wound care and recognise the client/patient at risk of pressure ulcers
recognise and assess the pain of the client/patient and know non-pharmacological methods of pain management
understand the basics of systematic assessment of basic body functions (ABCDE protocol) and emergency care
plan, implement and assess individual and ethical care of the client/patient in a multidisciplinary collaboration
