Intermediate Course in Portuguese I (OPEN UNI)

This course strengthens the basic skills learned in the elementary courses and you learn new skills through discussions in pairs, written exercises and listening at a faster pace.

Key concepts in grammatical structures are simple past tense, present perfect tense, future tense and conditional and the verb forms and their associated word order. The use of the past and present perfect tenses will become familiar. Additionally, the concepts include relative pronouns and indirect questions. Vocabulary includes themes about free time and information technology.

There is only one Portuguese language, but the course familiarises students with differences in the levels of the language in both Portugal and Brazil.
