The course offers an overview to micro-entrepreneurship in Finland. The content of the course includes identifying the importance of values, goals, resilience and competencies. In addition, the course introduces students to the business plan of micro-enterprises.

After the course, the student:

Has got acquainted with the research field and study module of micro-entrepreneurship
Understands the definition, characteristics and importance of micro-enterprises in society
Recognizes the importance of company values, goals and entrepreneurial skills to the systematic management of a company
Understands the significance of the concept of resilience as part of enterprise management

The course is recommended to be taken as a part of the Micro-Entrepreneurship study package of 25 ECTS credits, but can also be taken as an individual 5 ECTS course. The target group of the course is university graduates and university students who aim for entrepreneurship or are interested in entrepreneurship, as well as entrepreneurs, those interested in entrepreneurship, Business advisors and those working in business service positions.
