Basics of Traffic Engineering II
Fundamentals of Traffic Engineering II deepens understanding of transport system analysis, planning, and development. The course focuses on traffic flow, safety, and impacts, and teaches how to apply key methods in practice.

The course includes lectures on key themes in transport engineering. In addition, students complete individual and group assignments during the course. These assignments are defined at the beginning of the course and may include, for example, a group seminar presentation, a junction design exercise, and a learning diary.
Core course content includes: Traffic flow; Traffic studies, models and forecasts; Transport system planning; Smart mobility; Traffic safety; External effects of transport.
During the assignments and exercises, students also develop generic skills such as analytical, critical and creative thinking; wellbeing and self‑development skills; sustainability, responsibility and ethical skills; multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary skills; and communication, interaction and digital skills.
