From Ancient Civilisations to the Early Modern Period (OPEN UNI)

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to identify and compare the political, economic, and cultural aspects of different cultures, as well as to perceive the main development trends of the pre-modern era. Students will be able to view Finland’s integration to the Western European cultural circle.
After completing the course, the student is able to make analytical conclusions, examine materials critically and identify the special characteristics of different societies. The student is also able to identify ethical questions and perspectives related to different situations.
