The digitalising world also extends to our understanding of cultural heritage. We share pictures of heritage sites on SOME, visit VR exhibitions in museums and dive into historical worlds in computer games. Researchers can explore meanings and processes related to cultural heritage by using digital material from museums and archives, for example, but increasingly material is also being created in digital form. Research can also focus on how people interact with cultural heritage in digital environments.
Key content:
- definition of digital cultural heritage
- the construction of cultural heritage in the digital environment
