Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
define the basic concepts of ethics and understand their significance in the healthcare field
explain the different areas of ethics as well as the most common moral theories
identify and be able to define the ethical principles, values, and laws that guide healthcare practice and relate to the position and rights of clients/patients
evaluate and analyze the implementation of values and the challenges involved, as well as the importance of ethical principles and recommendations in healthcare contexts
recognize the key principles of research ethics
recognize ethical issues related to digital solutions and be able to discuss the ethical aspects of implementing artificial intelligence in healthcare
recognize the dimensions of sustainability (social, ecological, economic, and cultural) and evaluate one’s own actions in relation to them
recognize the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
act equally and non-discriminatorily with diverse individuals in accordance with professional ethics and good scientific practice, while respecting different stakeholders, environments, and values
