Real property development from a property developer's point of view

The course is worth 1 ECTS credit (1 cr), which corresponds to approximately 27 hours of student work.

In this course, students will study the teaching materials available in Moodle and complete calculation and writing assignments as well as a multiple-choice task.

Main Content:

Real estate development is an activity aimed at increasing the value and return of an individual property or a specific area and its properties through investments. This course introduces the key concepts of real estate development, as well as different forms and principles of development. The content is structured from the perspective of a real estate developer.

Objectives and Assessment:

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the methods, phases, and stakeholders of real estate development, as well as the economics and risks of development projects. In addition, the course briefly covers project management in development projects. No prior knowledge of real estate development is required.

The course is completed by successfully carrying out the assignments related to four modules. The assignments must be completed in numerical order, starting from Module 1. The assignment for the next module will only open once the previous one has been submitted. The course and its assignments are graded on a Pass/Fail scale.
