Introduction to Networking and Advanced Troubleshooting

Intensive course with emphasis on practical learning. This week-long intensive course will be held in August at Metropolia's Myyrmäki campus.

Overview of common networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls).

  1. Troubleshooting Networking:

Identifying and resolving common network issues (connectivity, IP conflicts, DNS errors).

Hands-on exercises: Packet tracing, debugging, and log analysis.

  1. Advanced Networking Topics:

Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP).

Network performance optimization and diagnostics.

  1. Hands-on Labs:

Simulating real-world scenarios using tools like Cisco Packet Tracer or GNS3.

Configuring and troubleshooting network designs.
