Description
Content and dates
The study unit includes the following parts:
Part 1. Periodontal tissues and their function. Microbiology of the periodontal tissues. Examination of the periodontal tissues using radiographs.
Part 2. Classification and prevalence of periodontal diseases. Development and causes of periodontal diseases.
Learner's time use and workload
3 credits = 81 hours
Teaching methods
Online course on Moodle from 17 August to 18 December 2026, including two Moodle exams. Students complete the course independently according to their own schedule. The teacher reviews the Moodle exams every 2–4 weeks.
Students will receive instructions by email on how to log in to the Moodle workspace before the study unit begins.
