Upon successful completion of the course, the student is able to:

Identify and describe the key participants, structures, and financial instruments of financial markets.
Apply the time value of money in the valuation of investments and financial instruments and perform basic investment appraisal and pricing calculations .
Explain and analyze the relationship between risk and return and interpret the risk characteristics of financial instruments and investments.
Calculate and interpret key measures related to a firm's capital structure and cost of capital and understand the impact of financing decisions on firm value .
Utilize artificial intelligence as a support tool for learning , particularly in understanding and reviewing fundamental concepts in finance.
