On successfully completing this course, students will:

• Understand the importance of developing the workplace and workplace communities at the level of individuals, evolving work communities, networks, regions and societies.
• Be able to identify, evaluate and apply various approaches and methods to work, the workplace community, work organisation and workplace development to suit different contexts.
• Have the skills to plan and implement development activities and projects responsibly in different contexts
• Be familiar with the concepts of workplace community development and be able to identify, evaluate and apply the international literature in development work.
• Recognise development approaches and methods from a range of disciplines and their usability.
