Students will

• be able to critically examine the political and linguistic status of International Sign.
• be familiar with linguistic and cultural differences between sign languages around the world.
• be able to communicate in international contexts using the signs, structures and strategies designated for use at international deaf events.
• be able to apply and develop their language proficiency in multilingual and multicultural environments.
• be able to use international sign, gestures, visual signs and pantomime to enrich their message
• understand texts in International Sign on familiar topics
