The course is offered every two years, in the academic year 2025-2026 but not in 2026-2027.

The course is a subject-oriented course in Finnish that can be taken as a module within the Finnish minor. The target level of the course is CEFR C1.2.

During the course, the student acquires a broad general knowledge and understanding of internal and external communication in companies and organizations, and gains insights into targeted communication to employees, the market and society.

For Bachelor's degree students, completion of the compulsory course in Finnish (Suullinen ja kirjallinen yritysviestintä) is required. For Master's degree students, at least satisfactory knowledge of Finnish at the documented CEFR B1.2 level is required.

NB! It is your responsibility as a student to ensure you meet all prerequisites before registering for a course.

Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your participation and the course examinar may withhold any credits earned.

After completing the course, you will be able to:

explain the meaning of linguistic and semantic content in a communication context
use different styles according to the situation, function and target audience
describe the relationship between visual and written communication and between oral and written communication
prepare appropriate texts as required by the situation
justify your opinions in the subject area in e.g. advertising language, PR, HR and in the language of crisis situations
