Finnish 1 or similar skills (A1.2).

After completing the course, you will be able to:

• participate in simple discussions on the topics covered in the course (such as hobbies, studies, compliments, opinions, talking about illness, asking for information/help)
• write somewhat longer texts on familiar subjects and short study-related emails
• participate more independently in a wider range of discussions in your community and in different service encounters
• express your opinion, necessity and possibility and tell about simple past events
• expand your vocabulary and knowledge of Finnish structures (object, positive and negative imperfect, word types) and recognize some plural forms of nouns in texts
• expand your knowledge about Finnish culture, customs and current events
• have the courage to use your Finnish outside classroom in discussions and situations practised in the course
• know and use some online materials to support your learning.
