After having completed this course or attained an equivalent competence level, the student
-recognizes the main legal concepts and framework regulating businesses in EU;
-is able to describe how companies generally are administered and how assets are distributed;
-knows the basic contractual principles relevant to conclusion and validity of contracts and is able to assess the main effects of contractual liability;
-knows consumer protection rules safeguarding the basic rights of consumers and
-knows the core rules regulating employment relationships.

Student can demonstrate the level of their prior learning. This must be completed in the beginning of the course. Contact the responsible teacher Christina Karlia-Palomäki for more information. The assessment is based on the demonstration by the student of their competence to meet the learning criteria and their knowledge on course content. Courses can also be completed through work-based learning.
