Starting level CEFR А1.2(Opens in a new tab), KK-VEN002 Russian 1 or equivalent elementary studies, approx. 4–5 cr

After completing the course, students will be able to handle the most routine interaction in Russian. In particular, they will be able to

• Talk more extensively about themselves, including their family, friends and everyday life
• Tell about past and future events and use expressions of time
• Express their feelings

• Handle simple service and travel situations.

Depending on the group, one of the following:

• Dolmatova & Novacac: Tochka ru A2, textbook and workbook, chapters 3.4–6.1
• Kampus 2 (available on the course’s Moodle area)

material specified by the teacher.

Completion methods

The course may be completed in several ways; please refer to your teaching group’s specific instructions.

Course completion requires participation in teaching (on-site, blended or remote, as indicated by the teacher).

Depending on the format, it includes 24–48 hours of contact or real-time study and 60–84 hours of independent study.

Students
must also participate actively (attending at least 75 or 90% of sessions) and
complete assignments on time.

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment is based on the learning outcomes. The teacher will give further details about the written and spoken assignments and examinations required for the course.

Students keep track of their own progress and
receive regular feedback on their learning.

Target groups

The course is available to students from all degree programmes as well as international students.

It may
also be offered through open university education.

Term or teaching period when the course will be offered

The course is offered multiple times on different dates each academic
year, as outlined in the annual teaching programme. It is usually available in
both the autumn and spring terms.
