TA1 Basics in Economics

The course aims to familiarise students with the basics of financing. After completing the course, students will understand the basics of corporate finance, the structure of the financing system, corporate investment, types of corporate finance, stock pricing, derivative instruments, derivative pricing and the corporate financial structure. In addition, the course helps students write their bachelor’s thesis related to financing.

The course material can include lecture slides, a textbook or other material announced by the lecturers.

Target group

The Bachelor’s Programme in Economics is responsible for the course. For major subject students of the Bachelor’s Programme in Economics, the course can be included in the Study Module in Economics (ECOK-500). Students of other degree programmes can include the course in the Study Module in Economics (ECOK-300).

Timing

The course can be completed at any point of studies, course is not taught every academic year.

Completion methods

Optional participation in lectures. The course can be implemented differently as part of continuous learning.
