Freedom of Expression and Communication Rights

The course focuses on social ideals, interests and ethical questions related to freedom of speech, the media and communication policy. The course introduces different notions of freedom of speech, citizens’ communicative rights and other norms that guide communication. Based on these, discussions will focus on topical questions related to, for example, the regulation of freedom of speech, copyright, privacy and the availability of information.
