Online Refresher Course of Basic German (CEFR A1.2)

Starting level: CEFR A1.2(Opens in a new tab)

Prerequisites include German and 2 at the Language Centre or a few German courses in Finnish general upper secondary school.

The course is suitable for students who have previously studied the basics of German and wish to review them quickly.

After completing the course, students will be

• Able to communicate in simple everyday situations in German
• Proficient in fundamental German grammatical structures

• Familiar with characteristic cultural features of
  German-speaking countries.

The free-of-charge learning material can be downloaded from the course’s Moodle area.

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment practices and criteria are based on the
learning outcomes. Assessment covers the final examination, active independent
study, and the successful completion of all course assignments.
