Methods in Social Epidemiology

Prerequisites (free text)

Bachelor degree. This course does not require any prior expertise in epidemiology.

It is recommended, but not compulsory, a Bachelor degree in the field of health sciences.

By the end of the course students can find reliable datasets for analysis of global epidemiological problems, and analyse data from real-world epidemiological problems with a social lens. The course proposes to think of global epidemiological problems as contemporary social problems.

Completion methods (general description)

Completion of assigned tasks, and a final essay with analysis of relevant data in the field social epidemiology.

Assessment practices and criteria

Course is evaluated by assigned exercises.

There are weekly exercise sessions where students can work on the assignments.
