After completing the course, students will be able to

• Express opinions, hopes and attitudes
• Describe past and present events
• Describe studies and work experience
• Exchange ideas or information in familiar everyday contexts
• Cope adequately with a variety of everyday communication situations and take initiative where appropriate

• Recognise differences among some Spanish
  variants.

Completion methods

The course is offered as contact or online teaching (see course-specific instructions).

It may be completed in several ways; please refer to your teaching group’s specific instructions.

Spanish 3 may also be completed independently in Moodle as a more concise, two-credit version totalling 54 hours of study (see course KK-ESP212).

• Students are expected to participate actively in sessions (75% attendance) and complete all set assignments on time.
• Assessment includes assignments completed during the course and a final assignment or examination (see group-specific instructions).

• The course consists of 36 hours of contact or
  online teaching (3 cr) and 45 hours of independent study.

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment is based on the learning outcomes. Students must participate regularly and actively in classroom work and complete all Moodle assignments. They must complete assignments and examination components to a passing standard.

self-assessment (see group-specific instructions).

Target groups

The course is available to students from all faculties.

It
is also open to international students and may be offered through open
university education.
